Master's Program Admissions Information

The Department's master's program selects applicants through “Application Materials Review” and “Interview.” Below is a summary of eligibility requirements, degree regulations, admission methods, and the application timeline.

1Eligibility Requirements

  • Graduates (including expected graduates) of a domestic university or independent college accredited by the Ministry of Education, holding a bachelor's degree.
  • Graduates of a foreign university or independent college recognized by the Ministry of Education, holding a bachelor's degree.
  • Applicants with equivalent qualifications who meet the eligibility criteria set by the master's program of each department in the admissions guide may also apply.

2Degree Duration Regulations

The program duration for the University's master's students is limited to 1 to 4 years. Where separate regulations govern the program duration, required credits, or other assessment requirements, those regulations shall apply. Matters concerning a student's transfer between tracks are handled according to each department's own regulations.

3Admission Methods

  • Selection is conducted through “Application Materials Review” and “Interview.”
  • The Department's master's program admission — both Screening-Based Admission and Examination-Based Admission — is conducted in a single stage: applicants who pass the eligibility review have their application materials evaluated and are interviewed.
  • The interview time and location will be announced on the Admissions Office and department websites two days before the interview.
  • The actual interview time and location are subject to each department's official announcement.

Note: Applicants applying to more than one department at the same time may coordinate their interview times with the departments concerned.

4Application Method and Dates

Application method: Online application only. After an applicant submits an online application, the University reviews the uploaded materials to verify eligibility. If an applicant does not meet the eligibility requirements, the application is considered incomplete and the uploaded application materials will not be scored. Applicants should therefore carefully confirm their eligibility beforehand — please do not apply if you do not meet the requirements!

Admission Method Application Period
Screening-Based Admission Late October to end of November each year
Examination-Based Admission Early February to early March each year

Note: Applicants interested in applying to the University are encouraged to closely follow announcements from the Admissions Office.
