Feedback:
One of the important things I learnt in the department is to teach myself. This has a high impact on learning strategy, for instance, I found that I always encounter difficulties without help from my teachers; therefore, I have to find a way to solve the problems. After I get used to educate myself independently, I gain more confidence in myself and believe that I can tackle more difficult problems. This is one of the best gifts I received from the department.

CHI, MIN-HSIU

Institute of Systems Biology and Bioinformatics, National Central University, MSc
Department of Bioinformatics and Medical Informatics, BSc (100 Academic year), Asia University

Feedback:
I am happy to say that I received a solid and professional training in IT and bio-medical informatics from the Department. Furthermore, I realized that gaining hands-on experience is very important. I am proud to say that I can develop my own computer programs to solve real-world problems. Right now, besides working on my master thesis, I also get paid for working on a medical imaging project, so I can self-support myself. In the past, I used to have difficulties in my course works; however, thanks to all the teachers in the department, step by step I build up my problem solving skills. It begins to pay off because I find more job opportunities in academic after graduation.

J.R. Zhan

Asia University Bioinformatics, Bachelors (2013)

Feedback:
I learned a lot of professional knowledge in this school and gradually developed an interest in bioinformatics. The school happened to have a 5-year masters degree program that not only helped reduce tuition but also allowed me to begin learning in my fourth year of university. The in-depth knowledge provided by the program was much more fulfilling and offered me a global perspective that made for a smooth transition from the bachelor program to masters.
